2004 North Whidbey Lions Car Show, Whidbey Island, WA.
I have to say that is a very nice car show, lot's of nice cars. I still do not understand the people's voting. Although some of the cars that won, deserved to win, but there were a lot of cars that should have won, that did not. I have gone to this show 4 years in a row now and have seen basically the same folks win time and time again. Last year I had several people email me because I accused this show of being a "Good ol' Boys" show, and they did not like it. They said that I was stomping my feet just because I didn't win, well that is not the case. I know for a fact that my car should not have won, and it didn't, but I do know that there are cars in stock classes that were no where near to stock, Sonny, you listening? I do not care one way or another if I win or not, that is not what I participate for, but it DOES bother me when it is so blatantly obvious to not only me but about a dozen others at the show, that it IS A GOOD OL' BOYS network car show. Yes, there are a few cars thrown a win so that they can say "see, there are cars from out of town". I am going to write a little note to the Mayor and the city newspaper because this is just not right. Please remember, this is just my observation and opinion, if it is right or wrong, it is my opinion and most importantly, my website. So if you disagree with my opinions and observations, you have that right. Please do not expect a reply to your flame-mail.
